"Speaking for all the librarians, teachers and 15 classes of sixth and seventh grade students - You were wonderful! Your energy and enthusiasm never wavered and each student felt as if you were talking to him/her personally for the first time! You've earned some new fans today.”
Patti Warren, Kathy McClelland and Susan Wynn - Librarians, Westminster Schools, Atlanta, GA
“Hello, Goodbye, I Love You” is a heartwarming story about boys, friendship and seeing the world through different eyes. Aloha will work her way into the hearts of her readers just as she does with Diego and his family. Anyone considering raising a guide puppy will find the book very helpful as well as enjoyable.”
“This book is probably going to be as hot as the Harry Potter books have been.”
Ms. Bette Dennerline, Media Specialist, Highland Park Middle School, Beaverton, OR
"Thanks so much for your visit. You were wonderful! You really connected with our students. They have been lining up for your books! Bringing Aloha, Buttercup and their 'owners' was definitely an extra treat. I imagine lots of parents got the 'I want a dog' treatment that night!”
Janet Lockwood, Media Specialist, Bridgeport Elementary School, Tualatin, OR
"Pamela Bauer Mueller does a wonderful job of painting a picture with words. Every character in each story is portrayed in a manner that young students can relate to and understand.
Our staff chose Pamela's books for classroom reading...they loved the colorful vocabulary, the development of personalities, and the attention to details in describing the setting.
All young students should have the opportunity to read about Kiska and her friends."

Pamela Bauer Mueller would love to visit your school and talk about her books: The Bumpedy Road, Rain City Cats, Eight Paws to Georgia, Hello, Goodbye, I Love You and her newest title, Neptune's Honor: A Story of Loyalty and Love. Pamela gives the children the chance to see an author as "a real person." Too often, children read books and never meet the creator of the book or the source of the ideas. Having an author speak to a class can open the students' eyes to the possibility of using their talents in a way not previously imagined.
The Kiska Trilogy, exciting true adventure stories, are enchanting kids of all ages! Hello, Goodbye, I Love You is a heartwarming story that depicts a love journey between a guide puppy raiser and a sight-impaired woman. Neptune's Honor is based on the true story of an antebellum slave and his devoted friendship to his plantation master's son.
After the teacher has shared one of the books with the class, Pamela will speak with the students and share adventures and antics. Each classroom session allows the children the opportunity to ask questions, learn about the various cultures depicted in the books, and gain an understanding of the author's creative process.
Pamela's Visiting Author Program is ideal for grades K through 9. She is happy to suggest ideas to administrators for assisting teachers in preparation for the visiting author session. In addition, should your school allow book sales, Pamela will donate 20% of book sales to the school library or the organization sponsoring her visit.
Pamela and Michael Hingson sign books at the National Organization of Parents of Blind Children booth at the 2004 National Federation of the Blind Convention.

Pam signs Hello, Goodbye, I Love You for a new reader at the 2004 Georgia Lions State Convention.
